Online course for cooks for a cruise liner opens up the opportunity for you to become a qualified ship's 4th category cook in two months in the format of lectures, seminars and video conferences on an interactive platform with a flexible schedule and support from a supervisor. Laboratory and practical classes are held every week on the training ship "AVANT", where you immediately apply the knowledge gained in conditions that are as close as possible to real service on the liner. The course program is approved by the Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Odessa Regional State Administration and complies with the State Standard of Vocational and Technical Education for the profession "Ship's Cook" (DSPTO 5122.С.56.10–2016). To begin training, you must have a complete or basic secondary education, a previous qualification as a 3rd category cook, at least one year of professional experience, be 18 years old, and meet medical requirements for water transport workers.
During the course, you will master the art of cooking and serving dishes of varying complexity: from broths, soups and dressings to cold appetizers, exquisite salads, desserts and drinks, learn to work with unleavened and yeast dough (dumplings, pelmeni, pies, noodles), bake bakery and confectionery products, prepare sauces and sauté, control the quality and storage of products, create menus and place food orders. You will also master the organization of the galley, compliance with sanitary standards, service of the crew and passengers, maintaining the cleanliness of work areas and equipment, and at the end you will have a trial interview with a crew representative so that you are ready for the real requirements of the employer.
After successful completion of the course, you will receive a state certificate of assignment or improvement of the working qualification of ship cook, 4th category, entered into the Unified State Electronic Database on Education (UEDB). This document is issued in accordance with the State Standard of Vocational Education and is recognized for employment on cruise ships in Ukraine and abroad, confirming your readiness and competence to work in the international maritime service.
