Designed for all crew members, the course explains what onboard security is in practice: what typical threats look like (unauthorized access, theft, hares, piracy, suspicious objects), how the ISPS security levels work, who is responsible for what (SSO/CSO/PFSO) and what actions are required of you.
The online format with short modules, interactive cases and microtests allows you to learn at a convenient pace and immediately apply the knowledge in your watch routine: from access control to record keeping. Upon completion, you will be able to:
Recognize suspicious behavior, objects, and signs of attempted intrusion onto a ship. Understand and act in accordance with security levels 1-3, knowing your roles and reporting lines. Apply basic access control procedures: checking credentials, escorting visitors, working with restricted areas. Follow the algorithm during incidents: detecting explosives, reporting threats, dealing with "bunnies", responding to pirate activity.
Communicate and escalate correctly: who and what to report, how to capture events and keep records. Comply with security requirements during cargo operations and transitions without disrupting production processes. Participate in drills and alarms, maintaining a safety culture on board. Reduce personal and crew risks through increased situational awareness.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Certificate of Security Awareness Training that meets the requirements of ISPS Code and SOLAS XI-2. The certificate confirms your readiness to perform security duties at the level of "all seafarers" and is a necessary document for employment on most ships of the world fleet.
The document is accepted by shipowners, crewing and port/flag administrations; data on completion of training can be entered into your personal seafarer file. Validity period - according to the requirements of the flag and company (in most cases indefinitely); periodic updating/retraining is possible if necessary.
