Complete general secondary education. Previous qualification "Motorman (Machinist) Second Class". Work experience on vessels as part of the engine crew of at least twelve months. Upon completion of training - at least 18 years old. Gender: male, female. Medical restrictions on fitness of persons for work in water transport due to health conditions.
On the course you will learn to
Must be able to: stand watch in the engine room according to the ship's schedule; operate and control main power plants and auxiliary mechanisms, boilers and technical means that ensure their operation; use and maintain electrical equipment and electrical installations of engine room premises.
Participate in: maintenance of ship systems and operation of ship system valves; technical maintenance and repair of the vessel; operations for receiving and transferring fuel and lubricants; conducting drainage and ballasting operations; processing, placement, securing of supplies and their use; application of precautionary measures and prevention of marine environment pollution.
Perform fitting and assembly work for repair of ship internal combustion engines, auxiliary mechanisms and boilers, ship devices and systems.
