Safe food system on board ship
On the course you will learn to
– existing international and national regulatory requirements for safe food system;
– main threats to safe food:
– threats caused by food;
– threats caused by water consumption;
– threats caused by contact with animals;
– understand what equipment is needed to reduce existing hazards;
– know necessary procedures for maintaining sanitary safety in living and service premises and infection control procedures;
– procedures for comprehensive pest control;
– provisions of the existing control system "Hazard analysis critical control points"

Level of instructor-teachers
Must have: proper qualification and experience in accordance with the provisions of Section 1/6 of the STCW Code, as amended; maritime education; work experience on sea vessels of at least 3 years; work experience in training center for command staff training not certificate of training course "Safe Food System on Board Ship"

According to requirements of International Convention MLC-2006, as amended; Standards ISO 22000-2005, as amended; Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP) 2011; Requirements of US Public Health Service (USPHS), specified in Law 42 USC (Chapter 264 "Quarantine and Inspection Rules and Control of Infectious Diseases; Requirements of World Health Organization (WHO) "Guide to Ship Sanitation System"
Material and technical support of the course
For theoretical training, a classroom equipped with tables and chairs enabling note-taking is used; the necessary number of educational and methodological manuals for the training process; appropriate educational and demonstration materials (stands, posters, posters, slides, photographs)
